More about personalized learning.

Gulf Islands Secondary School serves the needs of a diverse population of students. Because it is a comprehensive school some students pursue academic studies, while other students choose to enrol in vocational programs.

According to a recent study, about 80% of Gulf Island’s graduates pursue an academic program while in high school, while the rest of the students enrol in vocational or career preparation programs. While the majority of the students pursue an academic program, given the creative nature of the community and the school, some of these students tend to focus on the performing, visual and media arts programs.
